We undertake to practice the art and craft of light; understanding the tools of photography and using them well.We utilize perception, composition and light to capture images that creates excellence in photographic results.
As photographers we do not place limits our photography, uniqueness, professionalism or enthusiasm.
One of the most important aspects of portrait photography is picking a suitable location. The choice will drive all other decisions about the shoot, including what lighting and props we take, which clothes our model should wear, and the most suitable poses to use.
Shooting in a studio with a plain background is a popular choice, but it can be expensive, and these types of shots have been done a million times. We can usually get much more interesting, engaging photographs by using our imagination and choosing unusual portrait locations.
Remember that you are a unique individual, with your own personality. This is what makes you so interesting, and it's something we try to capture in every portrait we take. Choosing a suitable location is an important part of this goal.
We take the time to get to know our model[s]. We ask about your hobbies and favourite places and incorporate them into our photography.
If you are an avid horse rider, we can shoot the session[s] at the stables; if you love to surf, we can go to your local beach.
By using a location that means something to you we will achieve more personal, meaningful photos.
As an added bonus, you are likely to feel more relaxed, helping us capture more natural-looking shots.
